Product description

White Ceramic Unslotted Basin Waste – Click Clack, 70mm G1 ¼″

Refine your bathroom style with this white ceramic unslotted basin waste at 70 mm — a timeless finishing touch for modern basins. Crafted with a smooth gloss ceramic top, it is designed for basins without an overflow, offering both aesthetic harmony and dependable function. Simply press to seal and press again to release.

Unslotted means the body is solid-sided, with no opening to carry overflow water. Check inside the bowl first: an overflow slot near the rim means you need the slotted version instead. Then measure the hole, because at 70 mm this is the wider of the two common sizes.

Made from a combination of ceramic, brass, and durable rubber components, this waste provides a secure watertight fit and lasting performance. Its crisp white gloss finish blends seamlessly with ceramic basins for a coordinated, premium look.

Installation is straightforward, with all fittings supplied and a standard G1 ¼″ connection compatible with most unslotted basin setups in Irish homes.

FAQ
Is this the right waste for my basin?
Only if your basin has no overflow hole and takes a 70 mm waste. Two things to check: look inside the bowl for an overflow slot near the rim - if there is one, you need the slotted white ceramic instead. Then measure the visible hole; 60 mm is more common on modern basins.
An ETAL listing describes this as a 'basin waste with overflow' - is that this one?
No, and this wording trips people up constantly. 'With overflow' and 'without overflow' describe your basin, not the waste, and different listings phrase it from opposite directions - so the same fitting gets called unslotted, no-overflow, or non-overflow depending on who wrote the page. ETAL is ELLSI's own trademark and the ranges match, but the words do not always. Ignore the phrasing and check the object: a slotted waste has a visible cut-out in its side, an unslotted one does not. This is CERW002WH, unslotted, solid-sided.
Which basins have no overflow?
Counter-top and vessel basins very often have none, and many modern minimalist designs omit it. Traditional pedestal basins almost always have one. A thick ceramic counter-top basin with no overflow is exactly what this waste is for.
Why choose white ceramic over metal?
On a white basin it disappears rather than sitting there as a metal disc. It also removes the finish-matching problem - a ceramic waste works with a chrome, black or brass tap without clashing, which metal wastes cannot claim.
How do I clean it?
Same products you use on the basin itself. The ceramic cap is far more tolerant of bathroom cleaners than a coated matt black or lacquered brass waste, which is a practical advantage if someone else in the house does the cleaning.
Do I need a trap?
Usually not. The trap is the U-bend below the basin - a separate part we do not stock. A sound existing trap can normally be reused.
