Will they actually hold 7 kg?
Each hook is rated to 7 kg on a clean, smooth, non-porous surface - tile, glass, sealed paint, gloss laminate. They will not hold on textured wallpaper, bare plaster or damp untreated wood. Two things decide whether they last: degrease the surface with alcohol first, and leave 24 hours before hanging anything. Most failures come from loading them straight away.
Will they damage the wall or tile when removed?
Removed carefully they come away without damage, which is the main reason people choose adhesive over screws in a rented flat or a tiled bathroom where drilling risks cracking a tile. Warming the pad gently with a hairdryer softens the adhesive and helps it release cleanly.
Where does stainless steel work best?
Anywhere the existing fittings are chrome or stainless - most bathrooms and kitchens by default. It is the most neutral of the three finishes we stock, so it disappears rather than making a statement. For a deliberate accent, see matt black or brushed brass.
Will they rust in a shower or bathroom?
