Product description

Adria Brushed Steel Kitchen Tap – Dual Lever Control, Swivel Spout

The ELLSI Adria is a brushed steel kitchen tap with two slim levers and a tall, gently curved spout. Where a single lever blends hot and cold on one handle, the Adria keeps them separate — a hot side and a cold side, the way most Irish kitchens were plumbed before mono mixers took over.

Brushed steel is the finish that asks least of you. The fine directional grain breaks up reflections, so water spots and fingerprints that would stand out on polished chrome simply do not register the same way. It sits naturally alongside a stainless sink, a steel splashback or brushed appliance handles, which is why it tends to be the safe choice in a kitchen that already has metal in it.

One point worth being clear about: the finish is brushed steel, but the body underneath is solid brass, not stainless. Brass is the heavier casting of the two and it is what gives the tap its weight in the hand.

The Adria runs from 0.5 bar. Plenty of taps in this shape need a full bar or more, which rules out a gravity-fed cylinder in the hot press. This one works on gravity, combi and pressurised mains alike, so it is the straightforward choice if you are not certain what pressure you have. Both levers turn on ceramic discs with a soft-turn action, so there is no rubber washer to perish and no slow drip a few years in. It stands 377 mm tall with a 230 mm reach, and the outlet sits 255 mm above the worktop — worth checking against the depth of your bowl.

Features & Benefits

  • Brushed steel finish – the directional grain hides water spots and fingerprints far better than polished chrome.
  • Works from 0.5 bar – suits gravity-fed cylinders as well as combi boilers and pressurised mains.
  • Dual lever control – separate hot and cold, each with a soft-turn action.
  • Ceramic disc cartridges – smooth, drip-free operation with no washers to perish.
  • Swivel spout – clears a second bowl or swings back out of the way.
  • Solid brass body – heavier than a stainless casting and built for daily use.
  • 377 mm tall, 230 mm reach – generous clearance for filling tall pots and washing baking trays.
  • Deck mounted, single tap hole – usually a direct swap for an existing mono mixer.
  • Flexible tap tails included – 1/2" BSP hoses supplied, ready to connect.
  • 2 year manufacturer guarantee – handled by us here in Ireland.

Why Choose Brushed Steel?

Brushed steel is the middle ground between chrome and a strong colour. It has the low-maintenance behaviour people actually want day to day — marks do not leap out at you — without committing the kitchen to black or brass. Against a stainless sink it reads as deliberate rather than mismatched, and it sits comfortably with the brushed handles most appliances come with.

Care is simple and, unlike a matt coating, forgiving. Warm soapy water and a soft cloth, dried off afterwards. Avoid abrasive creams and scouring pads, which will cut across the grain and leave marks that show.

Adria or one of the others?

The Adria is the one to reach for if you want separate hot and cold levers, or if you are on a gravity-fed supply and need a tap that works from 0.5 bar.

In the same finish, the Tivoli is a single lever swan neck — one-handed control while your other hand holds a pan, and a 304 stainless body rather than brass. The Cato adds a pull-out spray head on a retractable hose for rinsing pans and washing down the bowl.

The same Adria body is also made in matt black. Browse the full kitchen taps range to compare, and ask us if you want a finish we are not showing — we will check what ELLSI can supply.

We ship kitchen taps Ireland wide — Dublin, Cork, Galway, Limerick, Waterford and everywhere between — with same-day Dublin pickup on stocked items.

FAQ
Is this tap actually stainless steel?
No - and it is worth being clear about it. Brushed steel is the finish; the body underneath is solid brass. Brass is the heavier casting of the two and is what gives the tap its weight in the hand, so this is not a downgrade, but if you specifically want a stainless body the Tivoli in brushed steel is built on a 304 stainless body instead. Both look the same on the worktop.
Will it work with my water pressure?
Almost certainly. The Adria runs from 0.5 bar up to 5 bar, so it works on a gravity-fed cylinder in the hot press as well as on a combi boiler or pressurised mains. That is the practical difference between this and a lot of taps in the same shape, which want a full bar before they behave. If you are on a very low gravity system in an older Irish home, 0.5 bar is roughly a 5 metre head between the cold tank and the tap.
Will it match my stainless sink and appliances?
That is the finish's main job. Brushed steel has a fine directional grain that reads as the same family as a stainless sink, a steel splashback or brushed appliance handles, without needing to be an exact match the way two polished surfaces would. Shades vary slightly between manufacturers, so treat it as coordinating rather than identical - which is how brushed finishes are meant to work.
How do I clean and care for brushed steel?
Warm soapy water and a soft cloth, dried off afterwards. It is more forgiving than a matt coating - there is no lacquer to strip - but avoid abrasive creams and scouring pads, which cut across the grain and leave marks that catch the light. Wipe along the direction of the brushing rather than across it.
How does it compare to the other brushed steel kitchen taps?
Different shapes, different jobs. The Adria has dual levers and works from 0.5 bar, so it suits a gravity-fed supply or anyone who prefers separate hot and cold. The Tivoli is a single lever swan neck for one-handed control while your other hand holds a pan. The Cato adds a pull-out spray head on a retractable hose, which is the one to pick if you rinse large pans and wash down the bowl often.
Will it fit my sink, and what is included?
Deck mounted into a single tap hole, so normally a direct swap for an existing mono mixer. Supplied with 1/2" BSP flexible tails and a fixing kit; no waste. Check you have 377 mm of clearance above the worktop, particularly under a window that opens inwards, and that the 230 mm reach lands the spout where you want it over the bowl.
