White Radiator Pipe Covers and Collars 15mm – The Ones You Stop Noticing

Most radiators in Irish homes are white, and so is most skirting. That makes white radiator pipe covers the option designed to disappear: they turn two bare copper pipes and a ragged hole in the floor into something that reads as part of the radiator rather than plumbing left on show.

The usual alternative is paint, and paint on copper rarely lasts. It chips where the hoover catches it, yellows over the heat of a few winters, and never quite covers the gap where the pipe meets the floorboards. These sleeves are coloured right through the uPVC, so there is no surface coat to chip or discolour, and the matching collars close that gap neatly.

They snap on around the existing pipe. Nothing is disconnected, the heating does not need draining, and no tools are needed unless your pipe run is shorter than the 200 mm sleeve — in which case a hand saw trims it in seconds. Fitting Them in Five Minutes

1. Measure each pipe from the floor to the underside of the radiator valve.
2. If the run is under 200 mm, mark the sleeve and trim it with a hand saw.
3. Open the sleeve along its split and press it around the pipe until it closes.
4. Slide the collar down to the floor to cover the hole.

White, or Match the Valves?

White is right when the radiator is white and you want the pipes to vanish.
