Product description

Chrome Radiator Pipe Covers and Collars 15mm – Snap-On, No Draining Down

The bare copper tails running from the floor to a radiator valve are the detail that spoils an otherwise finished room. These chrome radiator pipe covers and matching collars hide the pipe and the gap where it meets the floor, in about five minutes per radiator.

They snap on around existing pipework. No draining the system, no plumber, no painting. Made from uPVC with a polished chrome finish, these pipe covers suit standard 15mm radiator pipe and are easy to trim shorter with a hand saw if your pipe run is under 200mm.

The chrome finish sits well in bathrooms and kitchens where the rest of the brassware is already chrome. If your fittings are darker, the same set is available in matt black.

Features & Benefits

  • Chrome radiator pipe covers with a polished finish that matches standard chrome valves and brassware.
  • Fits 15mm pipework — the domestic standard across Irish central heating.
  • Matching collars included to close the untidy gap at floor or wall level.
  • Snap-on fitting over existing pipe, so the system never needs draining.
  • 200mm sleeves, the practical length for most floor-to-valve runs.
  • Cut to size with an ordinary hand saw for a precise fit.
  • uPVC construction — light, rust-proof and wipe-clean.
  • No painting required, unlike boxing pipes in or trying to colour-match them.
  • 2 year manufacturer guarantee.

How to Fit Them

  1. Measure the exposed pipe between the floor and the radiator valve.
  2. Mark the sleeve and cut to length with a hand saw if it is longer than you need.
  3. Open the sleeve along its split and snap it around the pipe.
  4. Slide the collar down to the floor to close the gap.
  5. Repeat on the second pipe.

Why Choose Enzo Pipe Covers?

Boxing pipes in takes an afternoon and a carpenter. Painting them never quite works, because gloss on copper chips at the skirting. A snap-on cover costs a few euro, takes five minutes and looks deliberate rather than patched.

Available in matt black as well as chrome, so you can match whichever finish your radiator valves and taps already use. If your radiator runs hot at one end and cold at the other, a flow diverter is worth trying before assuming the radiator is undersized.

We ship radiator pipe covers Ireland wide — Dublin, Cork, Galway, Limerick and Waterford — with free delivery on orders over €100 and same-day Dublin collection on stocked items.

FAQ
Are these the same as the ETAL Enzo pipe covers?
Yes - same part, PDT-000858. ETAL is a trademark of ELLSI Limited, who make them, so the badge on the packet differs but the moulding does not. Either way they are sized for 15mm copper pipe with a 16mm internal sleeve diameter, so fit is identical.
Will these fit my radiator pipes?
They fit standard 15mm copper pipe, which is the domestic norm across Irish central heating. The sleeve has a 16mm internal diameter to slip over it. If your house uses 10mm microbore, common in some 1980s installations, these will be too loose. Measure the outside diameter of the bare pipe if you are unsure.
Do I need to drain the heating system to fit them?
No. The sleeves are split along their length, so you open them and snap them around the existing pipe without disconnecting anything. There is no need to drain down, no need for a plumber, and no tools beyond a hand saw if you want to shorten them.
What if my pipe run is shorter than 200mm?
Cut the sleeve down. uPVC saws easily with an ordinary hand saw or a hacksaw. Measure from the floor to the underside of the valve, mark the sleeve and cut. It is better to buy the 200mm and trim than to leave a gap at the top.
Chrome or black - which should I choose?
Match whatever the rest of the room already uses. Chrome suits standard chrome radiator valves and most bathrooms. Matt black is the better choice with anthracite radiators, black kitchen taps or dark cabinet handles. The pipe cover should disappear, not announce itself.
Is this better than boxing the pipes in or painting them?
For most people, yes. Boxing in takes an afternoon and some carpentry. Painting copper looks fine at first but chips where the pipe meets the skirting and needs redoing. A snap-on cover costs a few euro, takes five minutes and can be removed later without damage.
