Product description

Chrome Walton Kitchen Tap – Square U-Spout, Twin Lever Control

The Deva Walton is a chrome kitchen tap whose spout rises and returns in a squared-off U rather than a curve. It is the same idea as a swan neck executed in straight lines, and it is the shape that suits a handleless kitchen, a rectangular sink or a worktop where everything else is already square-edged.

Two quarter-turn levers set hot and cold separately, both feeding the single spout through one tap hole — so you get the feel of separate controls without needing a second hole drilled in the sink. The spout stands 361 mm tall with the outlet at 264 mm and a 196 mm projection, which gives real clearance for a kettle or a stockpot.

Flow is the standout figure: 24 L/min, the fastest of any tap we stock, so a sink or a pot fills quickly. The body is solid brass, the cartridges are ¼-turn ceramic disc rather than washers, and Deva guarantee the tap for 12 years. Across Ireland, where hard water is the norm through much of the midlands and east, ceramic discs are the part that decides whether a tap is still quiet in five years.

It works from 0.3 bar, so a gravity-fed hot press cylinder is fine as well as a combi or pressurised mains. It takes a single 35 mm tap hole and arrives with two 400 mm braided tails, making it a direct swap for most existing mono mixers. No waste is supplied, and we do not stock kitchen sink wastes, strainers or traps — a tap change reuses what is already fitted.

Features & Benefits

  • Square U-spout chrome kitchen tap – straight-line geometry for handleless and square-sink kitchens.
  • 24 L/min flow rate – the fastest-filling tap in our range.

  • ¼-turn ceramic disc cartridges – light action that stays quiet and drip-free.
  • Solid brass body – corrosion-resistant and substantial at 1.5 kg.
  • Works from 0.3 bar – suits gravity-fed Irish cylinders as well as combi systems.
  • 264 mm outlet height with 196 mm projection – clearance for a kettle or stockpot.
  • Two 400 mm braided tails supplied – a direct swap for most existing mono mixers.
  • WRAS approved – meets the water regulations that apply to Irish mains supplies.
  • 12-year Deva guarantee – guarantee terms differ by manufacturer across our catalogue rather than by quality tier; Deva backs its mechanical taps for 12 years.

Why Choose the Chrome Walton Kitchen Tap?

Chrome is what a kitchen tap is normally asked to match — a stainless sink, a bright drainer, appliance handles. It is also the finish that shows least on a square-edged design, where a matt coating would soften the corners the shape depends on. The Walton is chrome only; there is no matt black or brushed brass version.

At €45 it shares a price point with the Newton chrome kitchen tap, which is the same tap with a curved swan neck instead of the square U. Same brand, same guarantee, same money — that decision is purely about shape, and it is the genuine alternative here. If you would rather adjust with one hand, the single-lever Vesper chrome kitchen tap is €41 and the Tivoli chrome kitchen tap is €53. The cheapest route of all, if your sink has two tap holes, is the Profile chrome pillar taps at €30. At the top, the Spring chrome pull down kitchen tap adds a rinser hose — but it needs a full bar of pressure where the Walton runs from 0.3.

No waste is required or supplied; kitchen sink wastes, strainers and traps are not part of our range. We deliver across the Republic of Ireland — Dublin, Cork, Galway, Limerick, Waterford and every county between — free on orders over €100 and usually within 2–3 working days, with same-day Dublin collection by arrangement on stocked items. FAQ
Will this work on low water pressure?
Yes - it operates from 0.3 bar, which is the lowest rating of any kitchen tap we stock. That makes it the safest choice for older Irish homes with a gravity-fed hot water cylinder in the hot press, where a tank sitting only a couple of metres above the tap produces very little pressure. Pull-out taps need around 1 bar and will disappoint on the same system.
What is a U-spout and why square?
The spout rises and returns in a squared-off U rather than a curved swan neck. It gives similar clearance for filling pots but reads as more contemporary, and it suits square or rectangular sinks and handleless kitchens. Purely a styling choice - performance is the same as a curved spout.
Twin lever on a mono mixer - how does that work?
The two levers control hot and cold separately, but both feed one spout through a single tap hole. You get the traditional feel of separate controls without needing two tap holes drilled in the sink. If you would rather adjust with one hand, the Vesper is single lever and slightly cheaper.
What guarantee does it carry?
12 years from Deva, which is unusual at this price. The valves are ceramic disc rather than rubber washer, so they do not develop the slow drip that eventually appears on cheaper taps. Also available at the same price is the Newton if you prefer a curved swan neck.
What is included?
Tap, flexible tails, fixing kit and instructions. Single 35 mm tap hole, deck mounted. A waste is not included. See all kitchen taps to compare.
