What am I giving up at this price?
Not much that matters day to day. You get a ceramic disc cartridge, a swivel spout and a flow straightener - the same core engineering as taps costing more. What you do not get is a pull-out hose, a choice of finishes, or the 12-year guarantee that comes with the Deva range. For a utility room, a second sink or a rental property, that is usually the right trade.
What is the tap actually made of?
A mix of brass, stainless steel and zinc rather than a single solid brass or solid stainless body - which is part of why it sits at the bottom of our kitchen range on price. It is perfectly sound for normal domestic use and the cartridge, which is the part that decides whether a tap drips, is ceramic disc. If you want a full 304 stainless body, the Tivoli Chrome is the next step up.
Why do you list this as ELLSI when I have seen it branded ETAL?
Because ELLSI is what will arrive at your door. ETAL is ELLSI Limited's own registered trademark, so both names are the same company and the same tap, part PDT-000626 - but our stock comes ELLSI-badged and we would rather the page match the box than chase the better-known name. We mention ETAL here so you can recognise the tap if you have seen it elsewhere, and nowhere else on the page.
How far does the spout swivel?
Across the full width of the sink, so you can swing it clear of one bowl to fill something in the other, or push it back out of the way when washing up. Spout reach is 200 mm - worth checking against your bowl before ordering so the water lands in the sink rather than on the rim.
Will it work on low water pressure?
Not reliably. The Vesper needs 1 bar minimum, so it suits combi boilers and pressurised mains rather than an older gravity-fed cylinder in the hot press. If your system is gravity fed, the Tivoli Chrome is rated from 0.5 bar and is the safer buy.
What if I want a different finish?
The Vesper is chrome only. For matt black or brushed brass in a similar fixed-spout style, see the Tivoli in matt black or brushed brass.
What is included?
