Adria Brushed Brass Kitchen Tap – Dual Lever Mixer That Runs on Low Pressure

Many twin lever kitchen taps need at least 1 bar, which rules out the gravity-fed hot water that plenty of Irish homes still have. The Adria does not. This brass kitchen mixer tap runs from 0.5 bar, so a cylinder in the hot press can drive it as comfortably as a combi boiler or pressurised mains.

The shape is softer than our other twin lever taps: two slim levers either side of a tall, gently curved spout, rather than a squared L-profile. It suits a kitchen with a traditional or transitional feel — shaker doors, a ceramic or Belfast-style sink, painted units in green, cream or grey — where an angular tap can look too hard-edged.

Here the brass is not only skin deep. The finish is brushed brass, and the body underneath is solid brass as well, which gives the Adria its weight in the hand. The brushed grain softens reflections, so fingerprints and water spots show far less than on a polished gold tap.

Both levers turn on ceramic discs with a soft-turn action. The tap stands 377 mm tall, the outlet sits 255 mm above the worktop and the spout reaches 230 mm — enough to clear a deep bowl and fill a stockpot standing upright.

Adria or Another Brass Tap?

Pressure decides it first. The Adria and the Tivoli both run from 0.5 bar; the Stroud and the Astrid need at least 1 bar. Then shape: the Adria gives you two levers on a curved spout, the Tivoli one lever on a slim swan neck, and the Stroud two levers on a squared spout. Every gold-finish shape sits together in brass kitchen taps.

Brushed brass is a coated finish, so treat it gently: warm soapy water, a soft cloth, and dry it afterwards. Limescale remover, descaler, bleach sprays and abrasive pads damage the finish, and that damage spreads rather than staying in one spot.

The same Adria body is also stocked in matt black, brushed steel and brushed copper — copper being the redder, earthier warm metal if yellow gold is not quite right for your kitchen.

We ship kitchen taps Ireland wide — Dublin, Cork, Galway, Limerick, Waterford and everywhere between — with free delivery on orders over €100 and same-day Dublin pickup on stocked items. Browse all kitchen taps to compare.

FAQ
Will this brass tap work on a gravity-fed system?
Yes. The Adria is rated from 0.5 bar to 5 bar, so it runs on a gravity-fed cylinder in the hot press as well as on a combi boiler or pressurised mains. At 0.5 bar it still delivers around 7.8 litres a minute. Not sure what you have? Our guide to water pressure in Irish homes shows how to check.
Is it actually made of brass?
Yes - this one is. The body is solid brass and the visible finish is brushed brass on top. That is not true of every brass-coloured tap: some have a stainless steel body under a gold finish, which works just as well but feels lighter in the hand.
Dual lever or single lever - which is easier?
A single lever is quicker one-handed; dual levers make it easy to run only cold for drinking water and to set a temperature by feel, the way older Irish kitchens were plumbed. If you prefer a single lever in brushed brass, the Tivoli also runs from 0.5 bar.
How do I stop the brushed brass finish wearing?
Clean it with warm soapy water and a soft cloth and dry it off. Avoid limescale remover, descaler, bleach-based sprays and abrasive pads, which are what strip coated finishes. In a hard-water area, wiping the base dry after use prevents the build-up that tempts people into stronger cleaners.
Will it fit my existing tap hole?
It needs a single tap hole and mounts on the deck, so it usually replaces an existing mono mixer directly. It comes with 1/2" BSP flexible tails and a fixing kit. A waste is not included.
