Product description

Pull Out Boiling Water Tap in Chrome – 3 in 1 with a 1.8 Litre Corner Tank

The Cygne puts three taps into one: filtered water at up to 98°C for tea, coffee and the pasta pot, ordinary hot and cold for everything else, and a spray head that pulls out of the spout on a hose. Most boiling taps make you choose between the kettle replacement and a proper sink tap. This pull out boiling water tap is both, so it can be the only tap on the sink.

In polished chrome it is the easiest finish to fit into an existing kitchen. The tall swan neck stands 462 mm and swivels to reach 207 mm across the bowl; draw the head out and the hose gives you up to 200 mm more to rinse a pan, wash down the sink or fill a bucket on the drainer, then a weight under the worktop pulls it back.

Hot and cold run from the side lever. Boiling water has its own handle with a push-button lock: press the button, turn the handle, and it springs back to off the moment you let go. The pull-out hose carries the mixed hot and cold, while the boiling supply runs on its own line from the tank.

Below the sink sits a 1.8 litre corner tank, shaped to tuck into the back corner of the cupboard rather than across the middle of it. It plugs into a 13A socket, heats on a 1.5 kW element and draws 2.2 W on standby, and a push-button display sets 75, 85, 92 or 98°C and shows how much life is left in the carbon filter. The tank itself is WRAS approved (No. 250604707).

Before ordering, check two things: the tap needs 1 bar to 3 bar, so a combi boiler or pressurised mains rather than a gravity-fed cylinder, and the cupboard needs a 13A socket. Our boiling water tap fitting checklist runs through the rest.

Why Choose a Pull Out Boiling Water Tap?

Because a standard boiling tap still leaves you wishing for a spray head at the sink. With the Cygne you keep the reach of a pull-out for washing up and the 98°C supply for the kettle jobs, and you lose the kettle, the filter jug and a separate mixer from the worktop. It is the boiling tap for a kitchen where the sink does real work.

If you would rather have a fixed spout, the Elise 3 in 1 in chrome is our standard boiling tap kit with a larger 2.4 litre tank. If you want the spray head without the boiling water, the Cato in chrome is a pull-out mixer on its own. The Cygne is also made in matt black and brushed brass. Compare every kit in boiling water taps or every spray-head style in pull out kitchen taps.

We ship boiling water taps Ireland wide — Dublin, Cork, Galway, Limerick, Waterford and everywhere between — with free delivery on orders over €100 and same-day Dublin collection on stocked items by arrangement. What a boiling tap costs to run against a kettle is in our boiling water tap guide.

FAQ
Does boiling water come through the pull-out hose?
No. The pull-out hose carries the ordinary mixed hot and cold water; the boiling supply runs from the tank on its own line to the spout. For boiling water, leave the head docked and hold the cup or pan in the sink. The boiling handle has a push-button lock and springs back to off as soon as you release it.
Will the corner tank fit in my sink cupboard?
It is designed for the back corner, which is usually the space nothing else uses. The tank is 450 mm tall (468.6 mm to the top of its connections) on a triangular footprint 245 mm wide and 153 mm deep, stands upright with the connections on top, and needs a 13A socket within reach of its 945 mm cord. Leave 10 to 15 cm of air space at the sides and a little room behind it, plus wall space beside it for the filter, and keep the area under the tap clear so the hose weight can move.
Will it work on my water pressure?
It needs a pressurised supply between 1 bar and 3 bar, so a combi boiler or pressurised mains suits it. A cylinder in the hot press fed from an attic tank is usually below that. Our water pressure guide shows how to check what you have before you order.
Is this the same tap as the Sauber or flöde Cygne?
Yes - those are retailer labels on the same ELLSI kit. ELLSI make the Cygne and also sell under ETAL, their own registered trademark, so the identical tap and tank turn up under several names. The reliable check is the part numbers: this chrome kit is PDT-001391 and the corner tank is PDT-000930. Match those rather than the name on the listing.
How often does the filter need changing?
Every six months, and sooner in hard-water areas such as Dublin and much of the east. The tank display counts down the filter life in bars, turning yellow when a change is due. ELLSI's installation guide warns that skipping changes can stop the system working properly and affect the warranty. We stock replacement carbon cartridges - send us a photo of your filter head if you are unsure which fits.
Can I fit it myself?
A competent DIYer can, but ELLSI recommend a qualified installer. It goes through a single 34 to 37 mm tap hole with fixings for worktops up to and over 23 mm thick. The tank has to be primed with water before it is switched on - otherwise it shows an E3 error - and every push-fit and hose connection needs checking for leaks before power goes on.
