3 in 1 Boiling Water Tap – Chrome, 2.4 Litre Tank and Carbon Filter
One tap, three jobs. This boiling water tap delivers filtered water at up to 98°C from the left-hand lever, and ordinary hot and cold from the right — so the kettle, the filter jug and the mixer tap all become one fitting in a single tap hole. Tea in seconds, pasta water without the wait, and a worktop with one less appliance on it.
The system is three parts. The chrome tap sits on the sink; a 2.4 litre stainless-lined tank mounts in the cupboard below and holds water at temperature; a carbon filter in line before the tank takes out chlorine taste and scale. All three are supplied together, with the fittings to connect them.
The tank runs on a 1.5 kW element from a standard 13A plug, drawing 2.2 W on standby, and its touch-screen control lets you set the delivery temperature anywhere from 75°C to 98°C. Lower settings suit green tea and baby bottles; the top end is a rolling boil for pasta and blanching. It is rated IPX4 and carries a 2 year guarantee.
Two things to measure before ordering. The tank stands 330 mm tall and needs a 13A socket inside the sink cupboard, so check both the height and the power. And the tap wants 1 bar minimum — this is not one for a gravity-fed cylinder in the hot press. Get those right and installation is a straightforward single-hole fit.
Features & Benefits
- 3 in 1 boiling water tap — filtered boiling, plus standard hot and cold, from one spout and one tap hole.
- Adjustable 75–98°C via a touch-screen digital control on the tank, so you can dial it to what you actually drink.
- 2.4 litre tank — enough for roughly ten mugs before it needs to recover.
- Carbon filter included, rated 3.5 l/min, removing chlorine taste and reducing scale.
- Separate boiling lever on the left, standard mixer on the right — the boiling side cannot be knocked on in passing.
- 1.5 kW element on a 13A plug with 2.2 W standby — no hard wiring, no electrician for the socket if one is already there.
- Polished chrome finish over a brass tap body, with a 35 mm cartridge and swivel spout.
- 201 mm spout reach at 260 mm height — clears a large pan and covers a double bowl.
- IPX4 rated tank, CE marked to EN 60335 and EN 55015.
- 2 year manufacturer guarantee on tap and tank, handled here in Ireland.

Why Choose a Boiling Water Tap?
The honest case is time and worktop. A kettle takes two to three minutes and lives permanently on the counter; this gives you the same water in about two seconds and hides the hardware in the cupboard. Households that make tea and coffee all day notice it within a week, and it removes the filter jug from the fridge at the same time.
The honest cost is that it is a fitted appliance, not a tap. It needs a socket, cupboard space and a filter change two to four times a year. If you make three cups of tea a week, a kettle is the better answer and you will not regret keeping it.
Where this one differs from the market is price. Boiling water taps in Ireland typically start around €555 and premium brands run past €1,000. This is the same 3 in 1 arrangement — tap, tank, filter, adjustable to 98°C — at a fraction of that, because it is an ELLSI system rather than a designer badge.
If a boiling tap is more appliance than you want, a conventional mixer does the everyday job well: the Stroud Chrome is a twin lever in the same squared style, the Tivoli Chrome is a slim single lever that runs from 0.5 bar, and the Cato Chrome adds a pull-out spray.
