Bathroom Fittings in Ireland — Taps, Showers, Wastes & Accessories

Everything that goes on the wall or over the basin, chosen for Irish homes rather than showroom photos. Bathroom taps, showers and valves, wastes, heating fittings and accessories — all in the same three finishes, so a bathroom can actually match.

Two things decide whether a bathroom fitting works in an Irish house: water pressure and the finish. Older homes on a gravity-fed cylinder can sit below 1 bar, while a combi boiler runs far higher, and a tap rated for one will disappoint on the other. Every product page states its minimum and maximum bar rating for that reason.

  • Bathroom Taps — basin mixers, bath fillers, bath shower mixers and waterfall taps.
  • Showers & Valves — thermostatic valves, slide rail kits and shower heads.
  • Wastes — slotted, unslotted, click clack and push button for basins and baths.
  • Heating — radiator valves, pipe covers and collars.
  • Accessories — toilet roll holders, towel rings, towel rails and no-drill hooks.

Choosing a finish

Decide this first, not last. Chrome is the safest choice because most existing wastes, shower hoses and bath screens are already chrome, so a replacement blends in. Matt black gives the sharpest modern look and hides water marks better than polished metal, but it only works if the waste and accessories match too. Brushed brass is warmer and more premium, and suits softer, more traditional schemes.

The most common mistake we see is a matt black tap ordered with a chrome waste. They sit 20 cm apart in the same bowl and the mismatch is the first thing anyone notices. Whatever finish you pick, buy the waste in it at the same time.

Quality and guarantees

Taps are solid brass or stainless steel with ceramic disc cartridges rather than rubber washers, which is why they do not develop the slow drip that cheaper taps get after a couple of years. Every product carries a minimum 2 year manufacturer guarantee, with selected models running to 12 years — the Chrome Victorian Tudor bath shower mixer among them.

Frequently Asked Questions

Where should I start when redoing a bathroom?
Pick the finish first, then work outward. Chrome is the safest and easiest to match; matt black is the strongest modern look; brushed brass is warmest. Once the finish is set, choose the basin mixer, then the bath tap or bath shower mixer, then the waste and accessories in the same finish. Deciding the finish last is how bathrooms end up mismatched.
Will these fittings work with Irish water pressure?
Most will, but check each product page. Older Irish homes on gravity-fed hot water from a cylinder can sit below 1 bar, while combi boilers and pressurised systems run much higher. Every tap and shower lists a minimum and maximum bar rating. Low-pressure options exist across basin, bath and shower ranges - if in doubt, message us with your boiler and hot water setup.
What guarantee comes with IrishBath bathroom products?
A minimum 2-year manufacturer guarantee across the range, with selected models up to 12 years - the Chrome Victorian Tudor bath shower mixer is one. Taps are solid brass or stainless steel with ceramic disc cartridges rather than rubber washers, which is why they do not develop the slow drip cheaper taps do.
Do I need to buy a waste separately?
Usually yes. A few taps include one, such as the Ethos and Adore Mini, but most do not - check What's Included on the product page. Choose slotted if your basin has an overflow hole, unslotted if it does not. Our wastes guide explains the difference.
Do you deliver bathroom fittings across Ireland?
Yes. Free delivery on orders over €100 across the Republic of Ireland - Dublin, Cork, Galway, Limerick, Waterford and everywhere between - typically 2-3 working days. Same-day Dublin collection is available on stocked items by prior arrangement. Full details on our shipping page.
